Bio: Ray Bartlett has been working in, writing about, or researching Japan since 1993 and calls the country his second home. A professional journalist, he has covered Japan extensively. Ray also owns and operates one of the world’s most popular English-language onsen websites: Onsen Japan. His newest novel, The Vasemaker’s Daughter (forthcoming, 2018), is set in a fictional small pottery town in southern Kyushu.
